She said: then "I'd run off from lecture room to a hotel and sell beer from 1 pm til 10 pm. I did this for a few months. It wasn't easy at all, but I had to survive". Anyway, none of these paid much back then in the late 90′s. She began the modeling career in 1998. She was also a fashion columnist for a struggling celebrity magazine, and after two years she gave up that too.<br />
She came into entertainment as a determined model while studying in Unilag. Linda modeled for numerous brands, like the 'Rose of Sharon' label, owned by former President of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) and Nigerian billionaire and oil mogul, Folorunsho Alakija, and in some of the most fascinating fashion shows in the country back then. She was at ECOFEST and has also done some outdoor advertisements.<br />

 graduated from unilag as a BSC in science , she labored so hard to crack into the Journalism trade, by introducing her media company, called Black dove Communications, which was a modeling agency and events management outfit. The name Black dove was however inspired by Silverbird, which happens to be a name and also a bird. It was also inspired by the fact that her best colour is black and beloved bird is the dove.<br />
<b>Linda Ikeji</b> remained within her walls of comfort zone which was modeling, so instead of being in front of the camera, she chose to be behind camera by managing an agency, signing up models, training them and getting them jobs. Although Linda claims to still have the modeling agency, but not managed by her anymore. She also commenced what she tells in her earliest blog post as her "true passion", her magazine called, FM &amp; B. The first issue was published in the 2006 and on realizing how expensive and stressful magazine publishing was, she only had two more editions printed. She started blogging in 2006 although is not well design but Luckily, in that same year, Bella Naija, another very popular Nigerian blog, posted a story about Linda and for the first time, Linda started to see a new opportunity to take her writing to the world.<br />
<b>Linda Ikeji</b> began blogging fully in 2007(www.lindaikeji.blogspot.com to share stuffs that fascinated her with her readers. About five years after Ikeji Blog has developed into one of the most visited blogs in the country. Thousands trooped into her site on a daily basis for news, entertainment, celebrity gist, gossip and lots more.<br />
She said: "I was receiving like 200 visits a daily and for me back then, it was a great deal, sincerely. Now I'm receiving like 50,000 visits daily from about 180 countries around the world."<br />
It took Linda Ifeoma Ikeji about four whole years of dedication to start making good cash from her blogging career.<br />
She said: "I never for once even thought that I could make money from blogging. I didn't begin blogging with the frame of mind that some day I would really make money from it. As a matter of fact, it never even crossed my mind. I never said to myself that, OK let me start blogging now and maybe in five years time, I would begin to see the dividends.<br />
I never anticipated that it would ever happen at all. In 2008, 2009, I was placing free ads on my blog, I was the one asking my blog readers to please give me their ads to place in my blog for them free of charge. Now in 2010, people began asking me about my advert rates and I was like 'seriously?' I didn't even understand what it was not until I asked a few persons and they told me their own advert rates, so was how it all started for me."<br />
So far Linda Ikeji has purchased two brand new cars, her dream car, which is a 2008 Toyota Camry that she bought about in 2011.<br />
She said: ''I've been dreaming about this car ever since I saw it two years ago, and I was finally able to pay for it two days ago, after making savings for nearly four months. The most exciting part is that I have a blog to show it off. At least now some people go no say my 'levels don change'.<br />
She of late obtained an Infinity FX 35 SUV costing over N8 million. A very sweet child to her parents, she acquired a multi-million 5-bedroom duplex for her parents in Surulere, Lagos.<br />
Linda Ikeji at a point started having over 1 million unique visitors each month to her blog when some really controversial stories were posted on her blog, and that brought the much awaited recognition and large income. In August 2012, Linda was described as a success and a case study for the business of blogging by Forbes Africa.<br />
Now talking about Linda's personal life, she is so single and searching. She is yet to find her - My ideal man must be a decent guy, God fearing, very good looking and must be able to support what I do. According to Linda, she can never date a man younger than she is, but can marry a man who doesn't earn as much as she does.<br />
Her reasons- "How many young men out there actually make the kind of money I make? If I am waiting for a man who earns more than I do, I might perhaps be doing so for a while. There are a lot of guys who earn more than myself, but if I come across a man who earns lesser than myself, it is fine by me, as long as he has his own money. But not like a guy who has no job, no, that will never happen."<br />
Her blog which receives well over 50,000 visitors each day is a top shot for online advertisers and for others longing to draw web traffic to their sites. It is really funny to know that comments on Linda's blog can be very controversial and very interesting than the post itself.<br />

Wizkid’s concert *Wizkid After a successful year with major chart topping singles and videos, self styled ‘Star Boy’, Wizkid, decided to crown the year with a concert which has since been the talk of the town and on news headlines. The thespian who started her journey into acting in 2006,opens up on career and relationships in this interview. Titi Osinowo What are you working on at the moment? I don’t want to reveal what I’m working on yet but I’m planning something big. You started your career doing English movies why did you switch to Yoruba? Yoruba scripts were coming in for me, and also as a professional actor, one must be versatile. How and when did you start your journey into the make-believe world? It was in 2006, I spoke with my friend who is also an actress, about my interest in acting. She took me to a friend of hers who was shooting a movie in Ikorodu at the time, I met Toyin Abraham on the set and we became friends. It all started from there. How many movies have you featured in? I can’t remember, I have featured in soap operas like ‘Family Ties’, ‘Crack in the Wall’ and also movies like ‘Ese Aimodi’ amongst others. How has the journey been so far? It has been challenging, my journey has been on and off because I had to leave at some point to complete my education. I returned after a while and realized I could not keep up, so, I left again to get training and came back few months ago. What are the challenges you face? When I first started my career, I was faced with the challenge of producers wanting to date me before giving me a role. In the Yoruba sector, it is the people you call for your production that call you for theirs, it’s a ‘rub my back and I rub yours thing’ so, everyone wants to be a producer for this reason. I don’t see a reason why I would want to be a producer or director when I’m an actress, that is unprofessional, acting is enough for me. How did you deal with producers that wanted you to compromise in order to get roles? I turned them down politely, but when it wasn’t working well I had to leave the industry to complete my education. What are some of the lessons you have learnt? I have learnt a lot in the course of my career. Before I started acting I had a problem with relating with people because of the way I was brought up. While I was growing I never had the chance to relate with people because we were never allowed to go out, my father was very strict. For instance, while I was in the university I always felt it was a crime for a guy to walk up to me and ask me out. Also, I have learnt to respect people and be humble; acting has helped me a whole lot. Do you have any regrets so far? I don’t have any regrets at all. With so many talented actors in the game, what makes you unique? What makes me unique is the fact that I don’t reason the way they do; I’m talking about the Yoruba sector now. I don’t share and will never share their mentality. Can you explain what you mean by this? I don’t want to talk about it. What will make you quit acting? Before now I would have said marriage, I really can’t remember how many times I quit in the past because of my relationships. But right now, I would not quit acting for anything because I’m back for good; there is no turning back for me, no matter what. Who are your role models in the industry? I used to have but not anymore but I have people that I like and appreciate. People like Ayo Adesanya, Yomi Fash Lanso, Rita Dominic, Bimbo Oshin make the list for me. Do you have any fond memory of growing up? Growing up wasn’t too exciting or boring for me, it was just normal. I grew up knowing just my dad, mum and two brothers, there was no extended family. We were never allowed to go out; we always went from school back home. It was tough for me when I was younger but now that I’m older I appreciate my parent for bringing me up the way they did. What has being in the limelight robbed you of? Being in the limelight will never change anything about me. I’m a very playful person; I like to express myself always. I don’t appreciate the fact that people think I should not live my life the way I want to because I’m an actress. I like to do things that make me happy every time. How do you relax? I watch movies, although I don’t watch my movies. Sometimes I attend parties, in all, I’m an indoor person and I don’t keep friends. You are not married yet, why is that? (Laughs) I have been in several relationships in the past that didn’t lead to marriage, so, here I’m, still single. Do you sometimes feel pressured by your family to get married? Of course I do, my mum pressurizes me all the time to bring a good man home. Does that mean wedding bells will ring soon? I’m looking unto God, I’m a very religious person and I believe that when God says it is time, nothing can stop it. I want to get married but I’m not in a rush. Why do you think some celebrity marriages crash? People get to talk about celebrity marriage crash because they are in the limelight, marriages crash every day. I cannot talk for anyone because I don’t know what they are going through. No one wish for their marriage to crash but when you hear about some people’s experience you will understand better. What are your recipes for a perfect relationship? The fear of God, maturity and friendship. For me, love doesn’t come first because when love is not enough friendship comes to play. Sex is the last on my list, I mean being good in bed does not guarantee the success of a relationship or marriage; I don’t think sex is relevant. Can you describe your style? I don’t have a specific style; I wear what I’m comfortable in and what looks good on me.</span>

Dancehall musician, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, on Friday, December 15, 2017. Mr 2Kay who was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in his hotel room at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on October 22, during the “Buckwyld ‘N’ Breathless” concert where he also performed, lost some items including Swiss Audemars Piguet wrist watch to the thieves. The police invited singer Burna Boy in connection with the robbery, but only appeared after two months. He was subsequently arrested and detained after he turned himself in. It would be recalled that some suspects including Joel Kantiock, Burna Boy’s road manager, was paraded among the robbery suspects arrested for the robbery alongside Balogun Ademola, Obinna Igwe, and Tunmise Omotore who were subsequently arraigned in court. On Monday, Burna Boy was brought to court in a Tshirt and blue Jean trousers. Moment he was arraigned on a two count-charge, bordering on ‘accessory after the fact’ and ‘conspiracy’ brought against him, he pleaded not guilty. According to the Prosecutor, Inspector N. Peters, Burna Boy did not disclose to security operatives what he knew about the armed robbery which took place on the 22nd of October. However, Burna Boy’s lawyer, Bright Idahosa asked the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms, a move which was not opposed by the police prosecutor. The lawyers that represented Eko Hotel and Suites and Mr 2Kay’s record label Grafton Entertainment, however opposed the bail application while insisting that Burna Boy is a key witness in a sister case where the main suspects in the armed robbery case against Mr 2Kay are standing trial. Specifically, Tayo Reju, holding watching brief for Eko Hotel and Suites pointed out that should Burna Boy be granted bail, it would jeopardize the sister case at a Lagos State Magistrate Court. The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B. O Osunsanmi after listening to both parties, granted Burna Boy bail of N100, 000 with two responsible sureties, while the matter was adjourned till December 29 for trial to commence. There was however a mild drama as Burna Boy was shielded by security operatives who prevented reporters from taking his pictures, while he was whisked away in an ash coloured Toyota Sienna. According to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos state command Edgal Imohimi, the suspects were paid N50,000 before the attack on Mr. 2Kay and another N50,000 was paid directly by Burna boy after the job was done. Mr 2Kay was allegedly robbed of his Swiss Audemars Piguet, an automatic gold wristwatch valued at $25,000; gold jewellery valued at N1.5m; an iPhone 7 valued at N380,000, a Samsung Galaxy S7 valued at N240,000, Samsung Galaxy S5 worth N110,000; Adidas shoes valued at N75,000; three bottles of perfume worth N180,000, and a cash sum of N45,000.</span></div>

However, on the soon to be released album ‘Evolution’ by Kiss Daniel, we have worked with other talents such as Phyno and Olamide. Until now neither he nor his representatives have responded to papers filed challenging the competence of that suit. It is a known fact that such amounts will be insufficient to find and retain a decent apartment in Lagos nor cater for the lifestyle of any Nigerian celebrity. </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px;">Kiss Daniel, contrary to that rumour, has received substantial allowances over the last two and half years. In 2013, he was offered a 360 deal, and the terms of the initial contract have been reviewed twice in his favour, whilst the company has had to bankroll obligations relating to advertising, promotions, music production, videos, trips, wardrobe etc. at different times. </span><br />

Contrary to rumours making the rounds that Kiss Daniel was only on NGN 30,000 salary since he joined the label up until after the release of the Woju and Laye singles, this is nothing but falsehood. Before the release of those singles in 2014, Kiss Daniel was being paid a monthly allowance of NGN 30,000 to cover basic personal costs whilst he was still in his father’s house in Kuto, Abeokuta, he was also given a medical allowance of NGN 150,000 and other unrecorded stipends whilst no revenue was being generated by him. This remained the norm while the label invested heavily in recording sessions, productions, transportation, and other costs associated with developing him as an artist. </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px;">2. Loans of up to NGN 550,000 were given to him within 2 weeks of his signing onto the label for him to get a car for his mom to start a Taxi business. There are documents to back this. In addition following his request for financial support for his dad’s burial, G-Worldwide released the sum of NGN 200,000 to him which was exactly what Kiss Daniel requested for. As recent as October 2017, he again requested for a loan to run his account in order to acquire a house for himself under a mortgage, to this end the company released NGN 13,000,000 (Thirteen Million Naira) to him though the company was not obligated under the contract to do so. </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px;">3. As per the contract between Kiss Daniel and G-Worldwide, the label was meant to recoup its investment before any royalty-sharing was to commence; the only provision available for the artiste was allowances and loans which would be at the discretion of the label. In June 2015 following his return from his UK tour, the company amended the contract and immediately began the payment of royalties as agreed and from that time till the wrongful termination of his contract. G-Worldwide has paid Kiss Daniel the sum of NGN 117,233,318 (One Hundred and Seventeen Million, Two Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand and Three Hundred and Eighteen Naira) as royalties from performances alone, he has also received money from other incomes to the sum of NGN 3,296,826.40 (Three Million, Two Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Six Naira and forty kobo) for the financial record of 2016 as opposed to the false allegations made by him and his lawyers (The company’s books of account support this) As it stands, Kiss Daniel owes G-Worldwide Entertainment quite a large sum of money for the financial year due to end in 2018. </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px;">4. Following the signing of the contract in 2013, Kiss Daniel moved into an apartment furnished by the label in April 2014 in Lekki Lagos and only moved out in October 2015. Despite the terrible picture painted by Kiss Daniel to the media, the label actually during that period undertook the payment of all the bills in the said apartment, including waste, power, service charges, feeding, etc. </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px;">5. We have also noted the falsehood that at the time of his father’s demise, the label barred him from attending the burial. Let it be on record that immediately the news of his father’s demise filtered in, Emperor Geezy, CEO of the label authorized that his own personal car is used to convey Kiss Daniel to Abeokuta to attend and be a part of his father’s burial. The label CEO’s brother even accompanied him on this trip, as well as one of the label’s staff. Interestingly on arriving at a hotel in Abeokuta which had been fully paid for by the label, he refused to attend his own father’s burial on the grounds that he believed that his family are fetish and were responsible for his father’s death. </span><br style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;" /><span style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px;">6. In response to the claim that Kiss Daniel was barred from supporting other artists, especially those who supported him and the label at the New Era album launch, we would like to put it on record that at no time has the label barred him from performing at events where friends in the industry have asked for his support. We understand the importance of collaborative efforts in a fledgling industry such as ours. Kiss Daniel, however, has made it a habit to turn up at events late or not at all, always blaming the label for his truancy. Clear examples include his failure to appear at the Reekado Banks album listening party at Hard Rock Café and the recent 2Baba Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless Concert on 22nd of October, 2017 at Eko Hotel. He did this even when 2Baba had provided two separate accommodations for him and his manager Louiza Williams at Eko Hotels, and the label had covered other logistics costs. He stood up 2Baba and manager after claiming he was on his way from 6pm till 1am the next day. He repeated the same show of shame at the Chronicles of Ushebebe and Soundcity’s 2016 MVP Awards. His excuse always being that the label has restricted him from supporting other talents in the industry. His favourite saying: “You know I’m signed to a label na, I’m not my own boss yet”. One should wonder why his manager would be at these venues to liaise with the event organizers before his arrival if he wasn’t approved by the label to be at those events. His usual play was to ask the manager if money is involved and once she says “no we are going to support” he will either not take his calls once she’s around his house for takeoff, or switch off his phones and later complain that he was not feeling too well or had an urgent meeting at Abeokuta. </span><figure style="background-color: white; color: #323232; font-family: medium-content-serif-font, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times; font-size: 13.44px; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; padding: 0px;"><div style="height: auto; line-height: initial; margin: 0px; max-width: 100%; overflow: initial; padding: 0px; width: 293.12px;">
